There is no conservative case for same sex marriage.

I am somewhat bemused by reading and hearing so called conservatives saying there is a conservative case for same sex marriage.
There is not.
Marriage is an EXCLUSIVE arrangement between a man and a woman. It is strongly linked to family and thus the bringing up of children.

Changing the definition from man and woman to either man and man or woman and woman simply makes no sense. Homosexuals can NEVER have children together. Only one of the two can be a natural parent.

It is therefore a RADICAL change. Conservatives do not endorse radical change.

On a related matter CHRISTIANS can NEVER endorse same sex marriage.
This is because firstly Jesus quoted Genesis when he talked of marriage ie. being between a man  and a woman.
Secondly any sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful. This is much more usually adultery ( Jesus had a very stringent view on divorce) and fornication. It also includes the act of homosexuality ( but not being a homosexual.)
